When Matthew opened his barn he got so excited he started shaking. On Christmas Eve we went to the Darby's for dinner and to exchange presents. Matthew got a little table and chairs from his grandparents, he loves to sit at it and color. It was so much fun this year because Matthew understood that when you opened a present there were toys in it, but that also became a problem because on Christmas Eve Matthew wanted to open EVERYONE's present.
On Christmas Day it was so much fun because Matthew would open a gift and then play with it for a little bit and then open another gift. He was so happy about all the toys he got. Later on in the day Luke's parents and brothers (Eli and Ethan) came over and we had dinner- a tradition from my family- crab legs, shrimp, and egg rolls. My family has always had our favorite foods for Christmas eve dinner that we would not get a lot during the rest of the year. When we were little my parents would boil lobsters and we would have steak and a friend of the family would make us egg rolls. As we got older and the kids started eating seafood we would do crab legs instead of lobster because it was easier and cheaper. Luke and I have decided to do that as our Christmas dinner.
